Are you looking for something new to keep you active through the winter? This could be just what you are looking for. My next 4-week online beginner mat class starts Saturday at 10 am June 10th! I will keep it simple. I will teach you the basics so you can do them well. You will learn to use your breath to support your movement.

Pilates is like the gateway to getting back into exercise. On its own, it is a great exercise but also a fantastic pre-requisite for safely getting back into other activities.

Each 45-minute class will teach you how to use your Powerhouse and keep your alignment. These are the building blocks of Pilates. Master the basics and you will see a considerable improvement in your enjoyment of exercise.

In conjunction with the weekly classes, I will send you a video to practice between sessions.

Know Your Body: Nutrition and Pilates through your monthly menstrual cycle

KNOW YOUR BODY - Nutrition and Pilates through your monthly menstrual cycle.

It is sad that today most woman are unaware of how their bodies perform the magic it does every month, the very essence that makes us women. It is also sad that many woman suffer throughout their cycle unnecessarily.

Karen from Reflexionz Wellbeing and I are working together to give women a better understanding of what is happening physically and emotionally during their cycle, so they have a better understanding of why they feel like they do, what to expect , what foods are best to eat and what is the best exercise to do during the 4 stages of menstruation.

The workshop is 3 hours long broken down into 4 sections, with nutrition, lifestyle guidance and Pilates for each section.

How to join an online class

Your  Online Classes Links

 When you sign up for a term or week;y subscription with Your Spae Pilates you will receive an email each week with the links to all the Online Pilates Classes.  All you need to do is:

  • Email or text me to confirm the classes you will be attending

  • Click on the link a couple of minutes before the class. Or enter the Meeting ID by clicking: Join Zoom Meeting (If this is your 1st time using zoom, allow 10 minutes to download the app, etc)

  • You will enter a waiting room, I will admit you a few minutes before the session begins

  • Set up your device and mat so I can see you, preferably from side on for mat classes, front on for seated.

  • Have a towel to use as a cushion to support your neck

  • Have your stretchy band, cans & Pilates circles ready

  • Mute your audio to prevent feedback and noise from your place from distracting the class

  • Classes are 45 minutes. Please email before the class if you have any injuries or concerns, or requests for the class.

  • You will be directed to a Waiting room until I start the meeting. If you get a message saying “host is in another meeting”, check you have clicked the correct link. t Text me, and I will resend the link.

  • Text or call me if you have any trouble getting into the class 0220150743

  • Feedback on the class is greatly appreciated. Email me after the class if you have any questions or to let me know if the class delivered what your body needed.

You are In a group class and it is your responsibility to self-regulate your exercise.  You want to feel your Powerhouse work but let me know immediately if you are feeling pain in your neck, back, or joints.

Get Your Guts Moving Workshop

Thursday 30th January 10:30 am - 12pm at The Mary Potter Center 442Durham Street North Christchurch

This workshop includes a 35-minute Pilates session incorporating both seated and mat work with myself, Mary Hurrell, from Your Space Pilates.  It is ideal for all levels as well as for people wanting to give Pilates a go for the first time. The session will be tailored at differing levels of fitness focusing on gut health and how your powerhouse muscles promote good health within this body system.

Then Clinical Nutritionist Karen Murphy  from Reflexionz Wellbeing will talk to you for approximately 35 minutes about  topics  such as:

What the digestion system comprises of

The role of the digestive system

What are microbiome?

What is good gut health?

How to create a healthy digestive system.

Following this, you will get to taste some delicious gut microbiome boosting food.

Christmas & New Year Online Class Schedule

There is a long break for the community classes between the end of Term 4 2019 and next years Term 1 starting in February 2020. Keep up your care and attention to YOUR body and mind these holidays with ONLINE classes you can do at home or away.

You can mix and match your classes to suit. Come to 1 class a week or get 2 or 3 in a week to really transform your body.
